According to a source, it is a crime-based show, which will air on Sony TV. Earlier this year, Akshay Kumar had hosted a game show called Wheel of Fortune on the same channel. Sources informed us that the makers had approached for a crime-based show and he agreed to host it. If everything goes as planned, the Bollywood actor will soon begin shooting for the project. The upcoming show will be based on true events and tap into the crime and suspense genre. More details about its title and format are awaited.
Earlier this year, it was speculated that the actor was roped in to host JioHotstar reality show, The 50. The rumours spread like wildfire on social media after he featured in one of the promotional videos. However, Ajay never hosted that show.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay was recently seen in . Directed by Indra Kumar, the comic caper was theatrically released on July 10. Co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi, the movie opened to mixed reviews, but it did well at the box office. The film collected Rs 158.70 crore at the domestic box office and made Rs 219.07 crore at the worldwide box office.
Next up, Ajay will be seen in director Abhishek Pathak’s Drishyam 3. The actor will be seen reprising the character of Vijay Salgaonkar in the crime thriller. It is set to hit the silver screen on October 2. Apart from that, the actor has Chauhaan, directed by Neeraj Yadav, lined up for release on October 1, 2027. For that matter, he will return with the fifth installment of Golmaal. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the film brings back Ajay with Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Shreyas Talpade. Akshay is a fresh addition to the star cast.
