New Delhi: India all-rounder Hardik Pandya grabbed attention after he was seen with a completely shaved head during his visit to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala.
The cricketer was accompanied by his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma to offer prayers at the famous temple and attended the Suprabhatam Seva, one of the most respected morning rituals.
The pictures and videos of Pandya and Mahieka, both dressed in traditional white outfits quickly spread across social media. The all-rounder’s new look surprised many fans with several supporters linking it to the common practice among devotees of offering hair at the temple as a gesture of faith and gratitude. However, Pandya has not shared any official reason behind shaving his head.
Pandya focused on International return
The temple visit comes at an important time for Pandya as he continues to work towards his comeback to competitive cricket. The 32-year-old has been away from action since the IPL 2026 season after dealing with back stiffness and a thigh injury.
Reports suggest that Pandya has completed his rehabilitation and return-to-play process at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, making him available for selection in India’s upcoming white-ball assignments.
