This response came after Rahul Gandhi’s statement in which he reiterated the allegation of ‘vote theft’ against Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanish Kumar. Rahul Gandhi had said, “Wake up at 4 in the morning, delete two votes in 37 seconds, then sleep.” Kiran Rijiju said that Rahul Gandhi should accept that the Congress has failed under his leadership, due to which the party suffered defeat in many elections and the youth of the country started supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Union Minister said, “The poor, farmers and common people consider PM Modi as their leader. After losing the election, if Rahul Gandhi keeps blaming the system for hiding his weaknesses, no one can accept it. The country has changed and India is constantly progressing under PM Modi’s leadership.” He further said, “People like Rahul Gandhi want to stop the engine that is carrying India forward.”

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had shared a 37 second video of his Thursday’s powerpoint presentation. He claimed that it contains 100 percent bullet-proof of his allegations. In this clip, he told that at 4 am on 19 December 2022, someone opened, filled and submitted two names to remove two names from the voter role within 36 seconds. Rahul Gandhi said, “Wake up at 4 in the morning, remove two votes in 36 seconds, then sleep. Similarly, the vote was stolen. The monitoring of the election kept awake, but seeing the theft, he was protecting the thieves.”

On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi alleged that voters in Karnataka were removed from the voter list on a large scale. He said that fake login and phone numbers of other states were used for this, and this work was done through a ‘Centralized Software’. He presented the case of Aland area of Karnataka as an example.
