Rasikh Salam Spell In IPL 2026 Final: For Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) young fast bowler Rasikh Salam, the final match of IPL 2026 was no less than a fairy tale. In this match played against Gujarat Titans (GT), where big giants were seen disintegrating under pressure, this uncapped player from Kashmir put RCB at the forefront in the title race with his magical bowling. Rasikh performed brilliantly for Royal Challengers Bangalore throughout the season.
Rasikh Salaam shines in the final
Rasikh Salam proved to be the most successful bowler of RCB in the final match. He spent only 27 runs in his quota of 4 overs and took 3 important wickets, destroying the lower-middle order of Gujarat Titans. With his sharp bowling, Rasikh showed the way to the pavilion to Nishant Sindhu, dangerous finisher Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan. Due to which the Royal Challengers Bangalore team was successful in restricting Gujarat to 155 runs in a big match like the final.
Very few bowlers in the history of RCB have been able to leave such an impact on a big stage like the IPL final. Rasikh Salam has now become the second most successful bowler to record the best bowling figures for RCB in the final match. He refreshed the memories of great spinner Anil Kumble. Anil Kumble took 4 wickets for 16 runs in the final against Deccan Chargers in 2009.

Rasikh Salam impressed everyone with his bowling throughout this season. He has emerged as the uncapped bowler taking the highest wicket in IPL 2026. This season, Rasikh had to sit on the bench in the initial matches, but when he got a chance, he wreaked havoc. He participated in 12 matches this season and took 19 wickets. Although his economy rate was 9.45, his ability to take wickets at important times helped RCB win many matches.
From ban’s dark to golden journey

In the initial phase of his career, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had banned him for two years due to age fraud. But Rasikh did not give up.
