Gautam Adani has given his response after SEBI’s cleanechit.
After SEBI’s clean chit, Asia’s second richest businessman Gautam Adani said on Thursday that those who spread false news to the country should apologize to the country by using Hindonberg Research’s fraud and wrong intense report. Adani wrote on the social media platform X that the group has always been saying that Hindonberg’s claims were baseless.
SEBI’s clean chit has confirmed that. Market regulator SEBI dismissed the allegations of Hindonburg Research and gave a clean chit to industrialist Gautam Adani and his -led group. SEBI said that he found no such evidence in Hindonberg’s allegations that the group had used the concerned parties to send money to their listed companies.

The chairman of the Adani Group said that after a detailed investigation, SEBI has confirmed what we have always said that Hindenberg’s claims were baseless. Transparency and honesty have always been the identity of Adani Group. Adani said that we feel deeply the pain of investors who lost the money due to this fraud and wrong intention report.
Those who spread false things, should apologize to the country. He further said that our commitment to the institutions of India, people of India and nation building is unbreakable. He finally wrote on X, Satyamev Jayate! Jai Hind. Hindenberg released a report in January 2023 and made other allegations including rigging money on Adani. After that there was a drastic decline in the shares of the group listed companies.
SEBI’s clean chit
Earlier, market regulator SEBI rejected the allegations of Hindonburg Research and gave a clean chit to industrialist Gautam Adani and his -led group. SEBI said that he found no such evidence in Hindonberg’s allegations that the group had used the concerned parties to send money to their listed companies. SEBI said in two separate orders that after detailed investigation, allegations of discriminatory business, market disturbances and violation of public shareholding criteria were found to be baseless.
In January 2023, a report issued against the Adani Group in January 2023 alleged that Adikorp Enterprises Private Limited, Mylstone Tradlex Private Limited and Rehwar Infrastructure Private Limited used to be publicly listed Adani Power Limited and Adani Enterprises Limited from various companies of the Adani Group to be used to make money as a medium. SEBI pronounced two orders
SEBI Board member Kamlesh C Varshney said in both orders that there was no violation of the disclosure of the regulator as the definition of transactions with group companies between Adikorp, Mylstone Tradleeles and Rehwar Infrastructure does not come under the scope. It also found no violation related to large acquisition or control of securities that could mislead investors. After investigation, SEBI came to the conclusion that there was no basis for imposing responsibility on the companies or officials of Adani.
This order of SEBI has come after months of investigation and speculation after the report of Hindenberg in January, 2023. Due to the report, there was a drastic decline in shares of listed Adani Group companies. Hindenburg company is now closed. The Adani Group repeatedly denied all the allegations made in Hindonburg’s report and described it as completely baseless. A specialist committee appointed by the Supreme Court had also said that there is no evidence of prima facie disturbances against Adani.
