New Delhi: At the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in New York, Samsung has announced its new line of foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and a new budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. These releases will help Samsung to rebrand its foldables portfolio with thinner, lighter, and more durable foldables as well as increase availability with the FE version.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 have significant changes to the design and the internal components, such as more powerful processors, larger screens and better cameras. Both handsets are constructed using superior materials such as the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Samsung’s new Armour Flex hinge. The FE model is a trimmed-down version of the FE, focusing on a less expensive alternative for the buyer of foldable phones.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the lightest book-style foldable in the Samsung product line, coming in at 215 grams, the same weight as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is also thin, with only 8.9 mm thickness when folded. Samsung has increased the primary foldable screen size to 8 inches (up to 6.5 inches of cover screen size). Remarkably, the under-display camera is substituted by a standard 10MP punch-hole selfie camera to enhance quality. The Fold 7 on the back has a 200 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide, and 10 MP telephoto.
The phone has the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. It has a 25W wired/wireless charging battery of 4,400 mAh. The Fold 7 is rated IP48, but still, its warranty does not cover dust and water damage.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a sleeker build with a thinner 6.5mm frame.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 specifications
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a thinner design of 6.5 mm in its unfolded version. The primary display is now 6.9 inches, and the outer cover display is a wraparound of the camera modules, bringing a more immersive 4.1-inch display. It has received the new Exynos 2500 chip, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The camera system has a 50MP wide sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP front camera.
The 4,300 mAh battery is only a little bigger. It has an IP48 rating, and it is also made of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and aluminium.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE specifications
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is a cheaper variant of the Flip 7 but with the same main features. It has an Exynos 2400 chip, 8GB RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Its battery capacity is 4,000 mAh. Although it does not have the most recent improvements of its higher-tier brothers, it is exposing the Samsung foldable experience to more people.
