Eligible women can start applying on the portal.Reports also suggest the government is arranging to release the first instalment by Rakhi Purnima. The remaining Rs 1,500 will be kept as a recurring deposit. He said that women cannot withdraw this money for three years. This is because the recurring deposit will have a three-year lock-in period.Like all government schemes, this one also has some eligibility rules. 1) Women between 21 and 60 years of age can get the benefit. 2) Only one woman from each family is eligible. If a family has more than one eligible woman, the eldest will get the money.3) The applicant’s annual family income must be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
