Adhik Maas Kalashtami 2026: In Sanatan Dharma, the fast of Kalashtami is considered very special. This fast has been dedicated to Kaal Bhairav Dev, the fierce form of Lord Shiva. Kalashtami fast is observed on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of every month. On the day of Kalashtami, along with fasting, Kaal Bhairav Dev is worshiped with various rituals. At present Adhikamaas is going on, which will last till June 15.
Kalashtami of Adhikamas is considered very special, because it falls once in three years. It is believed that worshiping Kalbhairav in Adhikamas gives three times more benefits. Date of Kalashtami of Adhikamas (Adhik Maas Kalashtami Tithi 2026)
- According to Drik Panchang, Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha Adhikamas will start at 03.24 am on Monday, June 08.
- This date will end on Tuesday, June 9 at 03:23 am.
In such a situation, keeping in view the Udaya Tithi, the fast of Kalashtami of Adhikamas will be observed on 08th June.
Kalashtami Puja Muhurta (Adhik Maas Kalashtami 2026 Puja Muhurat)
Kalashtami fast is worshiped during Pradosh period. According to the Panchang, Pradosh Kaal will start at 6:30 pm on June 08, which will last till 7:30 pm. In such a situation, devotees will get 01 hour time for worship on this day.
Puja method of Kalashtami (Adhik Maas Kalashtami Puja Vidhi)
On the day of Kalashtami, take a bath in the morning and resolve to fast. Worship Kaal Bhairav with rituals during Pradosh period. At the time of puja, install an idol or picture of God, offer flowers and apply tilak. Offer mustard oil, black sesame seeds, coconut, laddus and sweet paan to Kaal Bhairav. Offer liquor, Imarti and Jalebi, black gram, curd-vada, halwa and kheer, gulgula and liquor to Kaal Bhairav. Light a mustard oil lamp and recite Bhairav Chalisa and chant mantras.
