Kanwar Yatra Arrangements: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has given major instructions to the officers regarding the Kanwar Yatra starting in the month of Shravan. Besides, special plans have also been made till Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar.
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The holy month of Saavan has started. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday greeted the people of the state. Along with this, CM Yadav has instructed the state officials to make all necessary arrangements for the devotees and Kanwar pilgrims at religious places across the state.
Kanwadis get food every 15 kilometers
CM Yadav said that Shravan is a holy month for the worship of Lord Shiva. The administration has been instructed that the pilgrims should not face any kind of inconvenience during the Kanwar Yatra during this period. The Chief Minister said that arrangements for food and prasad should be made every 15 to 20 kilometers on the routes of Kanwar Yatra.
Special arrangements will be made in Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar
CM said, in the holy month we worship Lord Bholenath and dedicate the entire month to him. In such a situation, I have instructed the administration at all the pilgrimage sites in the state that the devotees should not face any inconvenience and their needs should be taken full care of. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is making all possible arrangements for the Kanwar pilgrims. Special attention is being given especially to big Shiva temples like Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling, Omkareshwar Jyotirling and Amarkantak, because there is a huge crowd here during Sawan.
How long does the Kanwar Yatra last?
Shravan (or Sawan) has great significance in Hinduism. It is believed that this is the most favorite month of Lord Shiva. Worshiping Shiva in this month provides relief from all troubles. This year the holy month of Saavan will start from 30th July and end on 28th August.
