Odisha Police Constable Murder: A police constable killed his traffic police constable wife in Odisha. She secretly married a year ago. There was a dispute about 10 lakh rupees. He buried the body in the forest.
Women police constable murder: A 25 -year -old female traffic police constable missing from Bhubaneswar in Odisha has been found dead. Police have recovered his body from the forest of Kejhar district. The police have arrested the husband of the deceased woman. He is also a police constable. He has confessed to killing his wife.
The deceased woman has been identified as Subhamitra Sahu. She was originally from Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district and was posted in Bhubaneswar. On September 6, he left home to go to work, but did not return. The next day his mother complained to the police. After this, the police registered a case and started searching for Subhamitra.
Subhamitra secretly married Deepak Raut in July 2024
Bhubaneswar-Katak police chief S Dev Dutta Singh said that during the investigation, it was found that Subhamitra secretly married Deepak Raut in July 2024. Subhamitra was last seen in Bhubaneswar. Raut then emerged as the main suspect in the case.
Dead body buried in the forest 170km away from Bhubaneswar
During the investigation, Raut admitted that he had taken Subhamitra in his car from his duty place at 2 pm on 6 September. He then killed Subhamitra. He took the body to the forest of Ghatgaon area of Kejhar district, about 170 km from Bhubaneswar and buried.
Subhamitra Sahu gave 10 lakh rupees to Deepak Raut
Dev Dutta Singh said that Raut probably killed Sahu due to an economic dispute. Raut borrowed Rs 10 lakh from Sahu. Sahu wanted to organize a social function for the formal announcement of her marriage. For this, the money was asking back.

Raut was not ready to give back the money. He also threatened him. The police officer said, “Initially we did not find any evidence nor suspect her husband. We also started searching for her at many pilgrimage centers because her chat showed that she wanted to hide somewhere. The incident would be investigated in a detailed investigation. It would be found out whether more than one person was involved or not.”
