‘Metro… In Dino’ Box Office collection day 6: Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta’s film inches closer to Rs 25 crore

Anurag Basu’s film ‘Metro… In Dino’, starring a wonderful mix of actors like Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal, is enjoying a steady run at the box office.

Crosses Rs 24 crore in just six days
As per Sacnilk, ‘Metro… In Dino’ has managed to pull in over Rs 24 crore in its first six days. By Wednesday, the film’s total collection is nearing closer to Rs 35 crore and stood at a solid Rs 24.50 crore.

On day 6 itself, the film earned Rs 2.25 crore (as per early estimates). This might look small next to some of the recent big Bollywood releases, but for a simple, slice-of-life drama like this, it’s quite an decent.

Good start and a steady hold

‘Metro… In Dino’ opened with Rs 3.5 crore on its first day. It then ended its opening weekend on a high, collecting a total of Rs 16.17 crore. That’s a strong start for a film that depends more on stories and performances than on flashy action or big-scale sets.

How full were the theatres?
On Wednesday, 9 July 2025, the film saw an overall occupancy of 14.59% across India. The morning shows had an occupancy of 8.37%. But as the day moved on, things got better. The afternoon shows recorded 15.06%, evening shows climbed to 16.33%, and by night, occupancy had touched 18.61%.

A fresh look at city love stories

‘Metro… In Dino’ gives us another peek into how love and life work out in busy city spaces. Much like Basu’s earlier film ‘Life… In A Metro’, this one also ties together different stories about love, heartbreak, trust and new beginnings, all set against the noise and rush of urban life.
