Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey has now given a statement on the question raised by Viren Raskinha. He said that he believes that Team India has had a tradition of wearing blue jersey for a long time. But this change is not surprising. He said that I remember that in 2014 the team wore yellow color and in 2018 light blue color was adopted.

Dilip Tirkey said that this time the suggestion to change the color of the team’s jersey came from the coach, support staff, captain and players. Since the hockey turf is blue and the players’ kits were also blue, visibility during the match was affected to some extent. For this reason he felt that this problem should be solved.
