New Delhi [भारत]July 30 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday questioned Union Home Minister Amit Shah after the Jantar Mantar incident and said he “should have resigned earlier.” He alleged that the police action at the protest site has been recorded in the general diary of the Parliament Street police station.

Speaking to ANI, Raut said, “Such a big incident has happened at Jantar Mantar. Rahul Gandhi is standing in the Lok Sabha and speaking about you. Still, you are nowhere to be seen. So, what is the reason behind your disappearance?”

Raut further said, “As far as the police action at Jantar Mantar is concerned, its complete details and full report have been recorded in the general diary of the Parliament Street police station. There is a complete record of the police action in the general diary of the Parliament Street police station.”

‘Shah should have resigned earlier’

Taking aim at Amit Shah, Raut said, “Amit Shah should have resigned earlier. When Pulwama happened, Pahalgam happened. The PM should have first taken his resignation and sent him home.”

Making a scathing attack on the Union Home Minister, he said, “Shah is a General Dyer, a General Coward.”

Taunt of making a film on ‘missing Home Minister’

While addressing the press conference here, Raut raised questions on Shah’s absence and took a dig at Shah by mentioning the recent film ‘Laapta Ladies’. Raut said, “But where is Amit Shah? The Home Minister of the country has to search for the public and the MPs.”

Taking a dig at Shah, he said, “Recently a film was released, ‘Laapta Ladies’. I am thinking of making a film called ‘Laapta Home Minister’.”

He said, “He has been in Delhi for 10 years, Amit Shah ji. He used to speak on everything, expressed his presence on everything and used to threaten people through ED and CBI. But such a big incident has happened at Jantar Mantar in your name.”

He also raised questions on Shah’s absence while Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was speaking in the Lok Sabha on this issue. Raut said, “Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is standing in the Lok Sabha and speaking about you, and you are missing. What is the secret behind your disappearance? The pellet guns fired at Jantar Mantar…” (ANI)
