MP fell on the ground after being hit by a stone
According to the information received, during the protest, a stone thrown from a distance landed directly on the head of Kalyan Banerjee. After getting injured, he became unbalanced and fell on the ground. The security personnel and policemen present at the spot tried to take care of him, but due to his head injury, he needed immediate assistance. TMC leaders allege that the MP was also misbehaved during the attack. Political rhetoric has intensified after the videos and pictures of the incident surfaced.

BJP workers accused
Kalyan Banerjee has blamed BJP workers for this attack. He says that this attack was pre-planned and violence is being promoted in the name of political protest. Earlier, Abhishek Banerjee was also attacked
This is not the first time that a big TMC leader has been accused of attack. Recently, TMC national general secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee was also attacked in Sonarpur in South 24 Parganas district. It was told that a crowd of hundreds of people had surrounded his convoy. During this, stones and eggs were thrown and slogans were raised loudly. The situation became so serious that Abhishek Banerjee had to wear a cricket helmet for his safety. With the help of his colleagues, he was somehow able to get out of there. According to the police, five people have been arrested so far in this case and the investigation is ongoing.

The attack in Sonarpur took place when Abhishek Banerjee had come to meet the victims of post-poll violence. After the attack, he had alleged that some people were trying to take his life. According to him, some unidentified persons created a scuffle and raised slogans of “chor-chor”. He alleged that efforts were being made to intimidate and put pressure on political opponents. Mamata Banerjee also claimed that pressure was being put on some hospitals and officials so that the injured leaders could not get proper medical attention. However, these allegations could not be independently confirmed.
