In the Twilight of His Career
Jadeja will turn 38 this year and has been on the international stage for 17 years. Just like Rohit and Kohli, he too is in the twilight of his career and there is no guarantee that he will be there for the World Cup next year.

Still an Active Player in Two Formats
While Rohit and Kohli only play ODIs, Jadeja plays Tests as well. All three of them quit T20Is after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. Kohli and Rohit left Tests the following year. Jadeja is still playing the oldest format and the 50-over version. But the clock is ticking.
Ravindra Jadeja Set for International Return
Jadeja has not played for India for over six months. The Tests vs Sri Lanka shall be his return to the international scene. Rohit was back in India colours when the ODIs were played vs Afghanistan while Kohli came back in the ODI series vs England.

Jadeja is the complete package when it comes to Team India. He’s a more than useful batter, an excellent bowler plus a brilliant fielder. The man is a good finisher, a matchwinner and can change the complexion of the game in a matter of balls be it with the willow or the red or white cherry in hand. A cricketer that captains would want in their team on any given day.
Shall Ravindra Jadeja Play 2027 ODI World Cup?
Will Jadeja play in the World Cup? It’s too early to say. Like Rohit and Kohli, he will need to be fit and do well in as many games as possible. Every good innings or spell is another step towards the World Cup, and every setback is a nail in the coffin. Jadeja does not have the joy of winning the ODI World Cup. Whether or not he gets to experience it in 2027 is something we shall only know as time passes.
