Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma performed Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurated development works worth Rs 8.32 crore in Tandwa, Raipur. This includes two major roads and school facilities worth Rs 8.31 crore. These works will provide better transportation facilities to the villagers.
Raipur: Development works have gained new momentum in village Tandwa located in Tilda development block of Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma on Monday performed bhumi pujan and inauguration of various development works costing more than Rs 8.32 crore. During this, he said that the aim of the state government is to provide basic facilities to the villages, because there is no alternative to development.
What will happen with the announcement of Rs 8.32 crore?
- Minister Verma performed the bhoomi pujan of Daihanpara-Jhopadapara-Baikunth road (2.675 km) to be built at a cost of Rs 4.44 crore and Tandwa-Baikunth road (2.65 km) to be built at a cost of Rs 3.87 crore. Apart from this, a cycle stand worth Rs 5 lakh and a prayer shed worth Rs 10 lakh were also inaugurated in the Government Higher Secondary School.
- He said that the local people had been demanding these roads for a long time. This project was also approved in the year 2018, but due to various reasons the construction work could not start. Now the construction of both the roads will provide better transportation facilities to students, farmers, traders and villagers and will save both time and cost.
- The minister said that in the last two and a half years, development works worth about Rs 77 lakh have been completed in the panchayat area. These include Mahtari Sadan, PDS Bhawan, garden development, toilet, smart class, cycle stand and many other works related to public interest.
- During the program, Minister Verma while addressing the students and youth said that the basis of success in life should be honesty, hard work and spirit of service. He said that the objective of politics is not only to gain power but to provide development and facilities to the last person of the society. Referring to Ramcharitmanas, he said that work done for the benefit of others is the greatest religion.
- On this occasion, District and Janpad Panchayat officials, local public representatives, school teachers, villagers and a large number of students were present.
