Shilpa’s journey was full of challenges

Born in Kanchigara Koppalu village in Mysuru district, Shilpa lost her left leg when she was hit by a speeding truck at the age of four. Despite this life-changing accident, she completed her education, completing a postgraduate degree and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and initially worked as a school teacher before turning to para-athletics.
