After showing a recovery path in the previous session, Gold and Silver rates fell in the domestic futures market on subdued demand amid geopolitical concerns.
The gold future contract, August 5 expiry, declined over Rs 1,350 to an early low at Rs 1,41,709 per 10 grams as compared to the last closing of Rs 1,43,063 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver futures, September 4 expiry, fell over Rs 4,500 to a low of Rs 2,16,592 per kilogram on MCX from the previous closing of Rs 2,21,173.
Last seen, MCX Gold was trading at Rs 1,41,755, down Rs 1,308 or 0.91 per cent. MCX Silver was quoted at Rs 2,17,314, down Rs 3,859 or 1.74 per cent.
24k, 22k Gold Rates In India
The yellow metal prices for all purity levels fell in the domestic retail market as well, following the trend in the futures market. The 24-karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,42,550 per 10 grams, while the 22-karat gold rate today is Rs 1,30,671 per 10 grams.
The rate of 20-karat gold today is Rs 1,18,792 per 10 grams, while the rate of 18-karat gold today is Rs 1,06,913 per 10 grams.
At the same time, silver rates in the domestic retail market today are Rs 2,17,990 per kilogram.

Gold Rates In International Market
In the international futures market, gold was trading nearly a per cent down, while silver fell over 2 per cent. Last seen, COMEX Gold was trading at $4,041.90 per ounce, down $35.10 or 0.86 per cent. COMEX Silver was quoted at $57.395 per ounce, down $1.31 or 2.24 per cent.
“COMEX Gold continues to trade within a broad consolidation range of $4,000-$4,160 and is currently exhibiting a cautiously negative bias near the $4,050 mark. On the upside, immediate resistance is placed at $4,100-$4,120, and a sustained move above this zone could extend the recovery toward the $4,160-$4,180 resistance area. On the downside, immediate support is seen at $4,000-$3,980, followed by the $3,920-$3,900 support zone,” said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
