Commonwealth Games 2026 India schedule: Full fixture list, timings and medal events on July 28

New Delhi: After a medal rush on Monday, India will look to continue its fine run at the on Tuesday, July 28. Indian athletes added a total of six medals to the country’s tally on Monday to increase it to ten.

Sharmila Dhankar won India’s second gold medal at the ongoing CWG 2026, while weightlifters continued to contribute to the medal rush.

Sharmila scripted history by clinching India’s first-ever gold medal in para-athletics at the Commonwealth Games. She won the elusive gold medal in the women’s para shot-put F57 event. Meanwhile,   Gyaneshwari Yadav and Ajaya Babu won silver medals apiece in their respective categories.

Weightlifter Bindyarani Devi also clinched a bronze medal in the women’s 58kg event, while Sarvesh Kushare won the silver medal in the men’s high jump event. India’s weightlifters will once again be in focus on Tuesday as they will be in medal contention in their respective categories at the CWG 2026.

India’s biggest medal hopes on Tuesday will be weightlifters Nirupama Devi Seram (women’s 63kg) and Harjinder Kaur (women’s 69kg), who will be taking part in their respective finals. India will also be in a medal hunt in athletics, with Pooja Singh taking part in the women’s high jump final.

Meanwhile, Gulveer Singh will be looking for a podium finish in the men’s 10,000m final. Indian boxers will look to continue their winning run, with as many as five quarterfinals lined up across men’s and women’s categories. Preeti Pawar will be up against Northern Ireland’s Nicole Clyde in the women’s 54kg quarterfinal.

Priya Ghanghas will face Scotland’s Niamh Mitchell in the women’s 60kg category, while Jadumani Singh will be up against Zambia’s Mwengo Mwale in the men’s 55kg category. Parveen Hooda will take on England’s Sacha Hickey in the women’s 65kg quarterfinal.
