Ganderbal Bus Accident: The bus of devotees returning from Amarnath Yatra went out of control and overturned in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. There were a total of 39 passengers in the bus. According to initial information, about 30 people have been injured. It is a matter of relief that all the injured were taken to the hospital in time and according to the doctors, their condition is said to be stable at present. This accident happened when the bus was returning after completing the Amarnath Yatra.
How did the accident happen?
According to the information, the accident happened in Gund area of Ganderbal. The bus suddenly went out of control while traveling on a hilly road. After this the bus slipped from the road and overturned. It is being told that during the accident the bus also collided with a nearby house. After the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot for some time.
When did the rescue operation take place, how is the condition of the passengers?
As soon as information about the accident was received, police, ITBP, CRPF, Army and local people reached the spot. All the agencies together carried out rapid relief and rescue operations. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital. According to officials, most of the people have suffered minor injuries and everyone is undergoing treatment. There is no official confirmation of any passenger being seriously injured at this time.

As soon as information about the accident was received, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke to the officials. He took information about the condition of the injured from the district administration and health department of Ganderbal. Also directed that better treatment and every necessary facility should be provided to all the devotees. Manoj Sinha also prayed to Baba Barfani for the speedy recovery of all the injured.

This year Amarnath Yatra has started from 2nd July and will continue till 28th August. That means the total journey is 57 days. Till now, more than 4.15 lakh devotees have visited Baba Barfani. Every year lakhs of devotees from across the country participate in this yatra.
Through which routes does Amarnath Yatra take place?
Amarnath Yatra is conducted through two main routes. Pahalgam (Nunwan) route, which is about 48 kilometers long and Baltal route, which is about 14 kilometers, but its climb is considered more difficult. Ganderbal district is connected to this Baltal route, where this accident took place. The administration is in full alert mode after the bus accident.
