Hearing this, the rest of the contestants in the house became emotional. Ram reveals that he had helped his father prepare for his death in his last days to fulfill his last wish. This decision has affected his family till date.
Father had incurable cancer
Ram Kapoor told that his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 63. After treatment, he recovered and lived a good life for 73 years. But his cancer came back again. This time the doctor showed some concern, but since he had defeated cancer earlier, he was hopeful that father would be able to defeat it again. So he started treating them.
father did not want to live
But this time father had given up. This disease, which had endured treatment and several rounds of chemotherapy, had broken him. He wanted to leave this world. Ram told that although I did not get along with my father. I had not joined their company and was living my life after coming to Mumbai. One day he called and said you can do this. I don’t want to live. He was in Singapore, I went there. He said you can do this. After I die, I don’t want anyone to see my dead body, so burn me immediately. Don’t tell anyone about my death. I did this considering my father’s pain.
‘I planned his death with him’
Getting emotional on the show, Ram Kapoor said, ‘I had helped my father in planning his death.'” He told that taking this decision was the most difficult experience of his life, but at that time he felt that this was the right thing for his father.
Even today mother and sister do not talk
Ram Kapoor also revealed that after his decision there was a deep rift in the family. He said that his mother and sister do not talk to him for 5 years. This incident changed his life and relationships forever.
