‘Who funded the people who spread unrest in Delhi?’ Supreme Court lawyer raised questions on CJP’s ‘five-star’ hotel party – News Himachali News Himachali

After the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, several videos of Janata Party spokespersons dancing cockroach while celebrating in a hotel went viral on social media. After this, senior Supreme Court lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani raised questions on the funding of CJP.

In these videos, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with some others, were seen dancing to Bollywood songs. This incident happened after Dharmendra Pradhan left the post of Union Education Minister amid the NEET paper leak controversy. Senior lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani posted on social media platform X and wrote, ‘Really? CJP’s leadership is celebrating victory in a hotel! After several days of violence in Delhi, these so-called young activists started dancing while playing the song.

He further asked, ‘Who bore the expenses of travel, food, accommodation and equipment during this entire movement? Who funded the people who spread unrest in Delhi?

Congress Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Pawan Kheda has reacted to the statement of lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani. He said, ‘We advise Mahesh Jethmalani to remain calm, keep his mouth shut, it is for his own benefit and the benefit of his party. Speaking at the right time is good and speaking at the wrong time causes great harm. They should understand this.

What did Saurav Das say on the video?

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das has given clarification on this matter. He posted on Twitter and wrote, ‘This clearly shows that the government does not understand the language of Gen Z and the younger generation at all. We can sit on the road for as long as we want. We can protest even while dancing and singing. We can also gather people while drinking cold coffee. We can fight for change, even if our approach is not what previous generations thought of a movement.

Saurav Das further said, ‘This generation is like this. Confident, creative, able to face difficulties and someone who cannot be molded into any one mould. Uncles and aunts can keep complaining. They will just have to tolerate us.
