NVIDIA creates ‘Open Secure AI Alliance’ for AI security. Nvidia Launches Open Secure Ai Alliance To Bolster Ai Security

NVIDIA has formed the ‘Open Secure AI Alliance’ along with big companies like Microsoft, Cisco and IBM. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen AI security and provide advanced tools to companies to deal with AI-related cyber threats.

New Delhi [भारत]July 27 (ANI): NVIDIA and several global technology companies have launched the ‘Open Secure AI Alliance’. This is a new industry initiative that aims to strengthen Artificial Intelligence (AI) security and help organizations deal with emerging AI-driven cyber threats.

NVIDIA announced the initiative in a blog post on Monday, saying that the Open Secure AI Alliance will bring together technology companies to develop and share tools that help detect, investigate, and respond to AI-related security threats.

Why was there a need for this alliance?

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said in a post on

Explaining the need for this collaboration, Huang cited the recent cyber incident at Hugging Face, where an AI system was involved in breaking into the company’s infrastructure during a security assessment. “During the Hugging Face incident, closed AI prevented necessary forensic investigations. An open-weighted frontier model helped prevent intrusions. That’s why we created the Open Secure AI Alliance,” Huang said.

Purpose and members of the alliance

According to NVIDIA’s blog, this alliance has been formed to ensure that cybersecurity teams have access to advanced AI tools that can be used to investigate and respond to attacks. According to the NVIDIA blog, the alliance aims to promote open and collaborative AI security and help organizations build and use AI systems more securely.

The alliance includes technology companies and organizations such as Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Dell Technologies, Cloudflare, Red Hat, Hugging Face, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, and the Linux Foundation.

NVIDIA said alliance members will contribute AI models, software, datasets, and research to strengthen cybersecurity and improve the safe adoption of AI across industries. The company said the initiative aims to encourage collaboration across the technology industry, as AI becomes a larger part of businesses and critical digital infrastructure. (ANI)
