Ram Charan was injured during the shooting of ‘Peddi’

This is not the first time that Ram Charan has been injured on the sets of ‘Peddi’. He suffered an injury on his face in March this year, while the film was released on June 4. At that time, there were rumors about the actor’s eye injury, after which the production company issued a statement. The statement read, “We would like to address the ongoing discussion regarding a small incident that occurred on the sets of ‘Peddi’. We would like to assure everyone that Ram Charan Garu is absolutely fine. He suffered a minor injury to his left eye on the set, for which a minor procedure was performed. He will resume shooting from tomorrow without any interruption. We appreciate your concern, but there is no need to panic. Everything is under control and the shooting of the film is progressing smoothly.”

During the film’s trailer launch in May, when fans were repeatedly asking about the brace on his hand, he had replied, “Cheyya bane undi (My hand is better now). It’s a small gift that Butchi has given me.” Explaining the reason behind the injury, he said, “In the last 25-30 days of shooting, we were shooting a wrestling wrestler scene. I had asked them to bring a trained artiste, but they brought a real wrestler. When action is called, they hold tight. And that’s what happened… So I have a tear in my cartilage. But it’s okay, it’s worth it. It’s a beautiful memory of ‘Peddi’.”

The film ‘Peddi’ stars Ram Charan along with actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Shiv Rajkumar, Divyendu, and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles. Despite the controversy surrounding Janhvi’s character and negative reviews, the film grossed over ₹340 crore worldwide.
