Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu ended their marriage several years ago and have since moved on with their respective lives.
Chaitanya married Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024, while Samantha reportedly tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in December 2025.
Recently, reports emerged that Naga Chaitanya had approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights.
The actor reportedly objected to the unauthorised use of his name, image, voice and likeness across various online platforms.
According to reports, his petition highlighted concerns over AI-generated content, unauthorised merchandise, misleading advertisements, pornographic material and online content that allegedly linked him to claims of cheating on Samantha during their marriage.
The development sparked speculation on social media that Chaitanya’s legal move was primarily aimed at countering content related to his past relationship with Samantha.
However, industry insiders say that such an interpretation is misplaced.
Seeking personality rights protection has become a common practice among celebrities to prevent the misuse of their identity for commercial or defamatory purposes.
In fact, Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna Akkineni, had earlier secured similar protection from the Delhi High Court.
Several other leading stars, including Chiranjeevi and NTR, have also sought judicial protection against the unauthorised use of their names, images and likenesses by brands, websites and individuals.
Sources maintain that Chaitanya’s petition is part of this broader trend and is intended to safeguard his identity from misuse in the digital age. The legal action, they say, is not specifically linked to Samantha or their past relationship.
The actor recently secured interim relief from the court, joining the growing list of celebrities taking legal measures to protect their personality rights.
