BJP leaders have praised Dharmendra Pradhan on his resignation. Kailash Vijayvargiya called him a good worker, while Amit Shah said that the country and youth are above position. Congress has described the resignation as the first step towards improving the system.
Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [भारत]July 26 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday praised Dharmendra Pradhan after his resignation from the post of Union Education Minister. He said that he stepped down immediately after the party’s decision, which is a sign of a good party worker.
Vijayvargiya told reporters in Indore, “I have to praise Dharmendra Pradhan. Whatever work is assigned to him, he does it with complete honesty and dedication. From the very first day of the movement, he had told the party president, ‘If you think I should resign, I will.’ But when the situation became such that the party decided that Dharmendra Pradhan should resign, he did so in a moment. This is the mark of a good party worker.”
Vijayvargiya’s response to the allegations
Vijayvargiya questioned the role of Congress in the protests, saying that the students were protesting and the Congress was standing behind them. He also said that after the West Bengal elections, the opposition had “seen a ray of hope in the cockroach Janata Party.” He further said that Pradhan’s resignation “has put an end to the plans of all foreign forces who wanted to incite violence in the country.”
Congress said the first step towards reform
Congress leader TS Singh Deo in Raipur said Pradhan had become a “symbol of systemic mismanagement” in the NEET exam. He alleged that despite the death of the students, there was no condolence from the government, no discussion on improving the system, no action against NTA members and no steps were taken to dissolve the NTA.
Singh Deo said, “Something needed to be done to fix the rot that has seeped into our entire system. Removing Dharmendra Pradhan is a powerful first step toward reforming the entire system.”
Amit Shah also reacted
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that BJP considers the country, youth and students more important than any post. “For BJP workers, the country, our youth and students are more important than any post. Today, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation from his post is an example of this principle,” Shah said in a post on Twitter.
He further said, “The Modi government respects the sentiments of the youth of the country and is committed to implementing the necessary reforms against paper leaks. The decisions taken by Modi ji to ensure strict punishment to the culprits of paper leaks are commendable. I am confident that these steps will provide complete justice to the students who have succeeded in the NEET exam.” (ANI)
