Bank of Baroda
If you have to complete any important work related to the bank this week, then there is good news for you. According to the bank holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all government and private banks across the country will remain open this entire week. This means customers will not have to face problems due to any holiday.
All banks will remain closed on Sunday 26th July due to weekly holiday. This includes all government and private banks including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB). According to RBI rules, banks across the country remain closed on all Sundays of every month.
Bank will remain open on Saturday also
Apart from this, there is also a holiday in banks on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. However, there is no such holiday this week. Coming 1st August is the first Saturday and banks are normally open on the first Saturday. Therefore, all banks will provide their regular services from Monday to Saturday. No special or regional holiday has been declared in any state this week keeping banks closed. This means that banks in all the states of the country will remain open for customers for six full days.
You can work online also
If you need to deposit cash, withdraw money, deposit cheque, get demand draft made, get passbook updated, get KYC done or do any other work by going to the bank branch, then you can go to the bank without any hassle this week. However, even when banks are on holiday, customers still have access to digital banking services. Services like internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, ATM and card payments remain operational normally. This means that even when the bank is closed, you can transfer money online, pay bills, recharge your mobile and withdraw cash from ATM.
rbi calendar
RBI releases the list of bank holidays every year. Some holidays in this list are for the entire country, while some holidays are applicable only in particular states or cities. Therefore, before going to the bank, definitely check the information about holidays of your state. At present, the matter of relief for bank customers this week is that banks will work normally throughout the week except Sunday. In such a situation, if you have any important banking work left, you can easily complete it between Monday to Saturday.
