Actor Aman Verma, who reached Dehradun, praised the Uttarakhand Film Policy. He expressed the possibility of shooting soon in the state, where films get subsidy of up to Rs 3 crore.
TV and film actor Aman Verma has reached Dehradun these days in connection with one of his programs. He is scheduled to stage a play on July 26 at the Himalayan Cultural Centre, Dehradun. Before the stage show, he got to know closely about the film policy of Uttarakhand government and openly appreciated it.

On Friday, Aman Verma visited the office of Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC). Here he met the council’s nodal officer KS Chauhan. During this, there was a detailed discussion between the two regarding the state’s film policy, shooting facilities and film production.

During the meeting, Aman Verma said that the film policy of Uttarakhand is very encouraging for the film makers. He believed that the natural beauty of the state and the diverse locations present here are very suitable for film shooting. He also said that he will seriously consider the possibility of shooting a new project in Uttarakhand in the coming time.
Many big facilities are available in the film policy of Uttarakhand government.
Nodal officer KS Chauhan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has implemented an attractive film policy with the aim of promoting film production. He said that Hindi and regional language films shot in Uttarakhand are given a subsidy of up to Rs 3 crore. Not only this, production of web series and foreign films has also been included in this scheme, due to which more and more production houses are being attracted towards the state.
Online permission, approval in 7 days and shooting fees also waived.
KS Chauhan said that now the process of getting permission for film shooting has become much easier than before. If applied online through a single window system, permission is granted within a maximum of seven days. Apart from this, shooting fees have been completely waived. Production teams also receive security support and special accommodations at GMVN and KMVN guest houses.
Shooting of more than 200 films and web series every year
According to the council, more than 200 films, web series and TV serials are shot every year in Uttarakhand. This is providing new employment opportunities to the local people and also promotes tourism. He said that the state’s beautiful valleys, mountains, rivers, peaceful environment along with religious and cultural heritage make it one of the best states in the country for film production.
Government’s aim is to make Uttarakhand the country’s biggest film shooting hub.
The aim of the Uttarakhand government is to make the state the first choice for filmmakers from within the country and abroad. The government wants more and more films, web series and other projects to be shot here, so that investment, tourism and employment can be strengthened in the state.
