Amidst the ongoing protests by students in the Neet paper leak case, the government has announced major changes in the National Testing Agency (NTA). Changes have been made in NTA on a large scale by the Education Ministry.
The government has dismissed about 47 officers and employees associated with NTA. The government said that legal action will also be taken against some of them.
Actually, NEET exam was organized by the National Testing Agency itself. This issue gained prominence after the paper was leaked. The protesting students have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Students protesting under the leadership of Cockroach Janata Party in Delhi said that they will not accept anything less than the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Here, the government has lashed out at NTA officials.
Education Ministry took a big decision
It is being told that this action taken by the Education Ministry is the initial part of a big campaign launched for major reforms and accountability in NTA. It is believed that many more important steps related to NTA can be taken by the Education Ministry in the coming days.
Focus on restructuring of NTA

Keeping this in mind, the Ministry of Education has started the process of comprehensive changes in the structure and functioning. According to the ministry, this action has been taken regarding the restructuring of NTA. With this, more transparency, credibility and accountability can be created in other examinations in the coming time. It is being told that a new system of NTA will be made on the lines of UPSC.
