In Beniganj, Hardoi, a married woman jumped from a moving auto in Sharda Canal after refusing to marry her during a love affair. The villagers present at the spot entered the canal and took the woman out safely.

While living in Delhi during the Corona period, she had a love marriage with a young man resident of Raipur of Kachhauna police station area. Both have a son and a daughter.
Lover refused to marry, girl jumped into canal
The woman alleges that her husband is addicted to drinking. Meanwhile, he was identified with a youth resident of Semra Khurd of Kalyanmal area. He studies in Lucknow. The woman claims that after having a love affair, the young man had assured her of marriage. On Wednesday she reached his village Semra Khurd but the young man refused to marry her. It is alleged that the young man left her at Kothawan after promising to send her back by auto. To send him home from here, he was made to sit in another auto. Hurt by this, the woman jumped from the auto moving on the canal bridge into the Sharda Canal. The villagers present nearby at the time of the incident safely pulled out the woman who was drowning in the canal.
People saved the girl’s life
The auto driver also parked the auto and jumped into the canal to save the woman. Kotwali in-charge Kaushalesh Singh said that he is not yet aware of the viral video. Upon receiving information, the matter will be investigated and necessary action will be taken. The allegations made by the woman have not been officially confirmed yet. Police is investigating all aspects. Family members told that a call had come home from a youth of the village on Wednesday evening. The young man had an argument with the girl’s elder sister over asking for sweet potato plants. The mother of the deceased alleges that her daughter was also in contact with the said youth. There was a dispute between both of them regarding some issue. After having dinner with the family at night, the daughter went to her room. When her mother did not come out for a long time, she went to see her and found her hanging from the noose of her scarf. The family took him to the medical college. After first aid there, the doctors referred him to Lucknow.
