TV industry’s popular actress Narayani Shastri has made many serious allegations regarding the parties of the entertainment industry in an interview. He claims that now in many parties, a separate budget is kept for drugs along with liquor. He also alleged that sometimes the alleged use of drugs affects the shooting and the artistes are not in working condition. Not only this, Narayani also admitted that she had once tried drugs out of curiosity, but she never became addicted to it.

In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Narayani Shastri claimed that earlier there used to be a separate budget for liquor in the parties of the entertainment industry, but now in many places a separate budget is being kept for drugs also. She said, “Earlier there was a budget for liquor in parties. Now there is a budget for drugs. I was shocked when I saw this.” He said that this was the reason why he gradually started maintaining distance from such parties. According to him, the atmosphere of gatherings which were once just a means of social interaction has now completely changed.

During the interview, when he was asked which drugs he had seen being used, he took the names of Cocaine and MDMA. He claimed that in small parties such activities are carried out more openly, whereas in big parties they are carried out in a more confidential manner. However, she did not take the name of any actor, production house or event host and said that she did not know each person personally.

Narayani Shastri claimed that the alleged effect of drugs is not limited to parties only, but sometimes shooting is also affected. Referring to an incident, he said that the condition of an artist was such that he was “not even in a position to stand.” According to him, because of that artist the shooting was halted for about four hours and the entire unit kept waiting. He said that in such cases producers also get into trouble because it is not easy to change a lead actor midway.
