Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, comprehensive reforms are being made in the administrative systems keeping good governance and civic facilities at the center. In this direction, historic and transformative reforms have been initiated in the Registration Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Finance Minister OP Choudhary. The aim of the state government is to make the registration process fast, transparent, technology based and completely convenient for the citizens. The registration process that once involved long queues, hours of waiting, delays in document verification and repeated visits to offices, now seems to be changing completely. Earlier it used to take 4 to 6 hours or sometimes 1 to 2 days to complete a simple registry. Now, with the help of modern digital systems, this process is being completed in just 15 to 20 minutes. Due to this, there is a huge saving of time, money and energy of the citizens.
Scheme of Smart Registration Offices
The state government has set a target to equip all 119 registration offices of the state with smart and world-class facilities within the next one year. In the first phase, 10 major offices including Nava Raipur CBD Building, Babylon Tower Raipur, Shri Ram Business Park, Saddu, Collectorate Complex Raigarh, Durg, Bilaspur, Kunkuri, Abhanpur and Tilda are being given a modern look.
Office equipped with modern facilities
In these new smart registration offices, citizens are now getting access to modern facilities like waiting lounge, air-conditioned facility, clean and organized premises, free Wi-Fi, mobile charging station, pure drinking water, modern toilets, help desk and pre-presentation counter. With this, the registration offices have now started looking like a modern service centre.
citizen experience
Expressing his happiness, Mr. Ashish Aggarwal, a beneficiary from Raigarh, said that earlier he used to feel disappointed when he came here, but now the atmosphere has completely changed. There is good seating arrangement, AC is installed, cold water facility is available and the whole environment has become better. Many thanks to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Finance Minister OP Chaudhary for this.
Transparency through digital systems
The use of digital technology has also increased transparency and credibility in the registration process. The implementation of the token system has reduced crowding and chaos, while eliminating the role of middlemen has prevented extra expenditure. Now citizens are also getting facilities like WhatsApp notifications, cashless payments, online property information through Khasra number and DigiLocker, due to which documents are available instantly and securely.
Step towards digital governance
This entire system is rapidly moving towards paperless and digital model, thereby strengthening both transparency and accountability in governance. This smart registration model, implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, has become an effective example of implementing the vision of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform’.
