The war of Mahabharata is counted among the greatest and most gruesome wars of the world. In this great battle, many powerful warriors had entered the field from the Kauravas and Pandavas. Barbarik: The brave man who ended the war with three arrows.
Ghatotkacha’s son Barbarik had three such divine arrows which could decide the entire war in the blink of an eye. The power of his arrows was such that they would destroy all the enemies in a single stroke and return back to the bow.
He wanted to fight on behalf of the weaker side. But Lord Krishna knew that this would lead to destruction of both the parties. Therefore, Shri Krishna asked for his head in charity and stopped him from fighting the war.
Balram ji, elder brother of Shri Krishna
Shri Krishna’s elder brother Balram ji was considered the greatest expert in Malla war and mace war. Both Duryodhana and Bhima had learned the art of using mace from him.
Balram ji had immense love for the Pandavas, while Duryodhana was his favorite disciple. He was strongly against this terrible massacre between brothers. For this reason, he decided not to support any side and went on pilgrimage during the war.
Parashurama: Incarnation of Lord Vishnu
Maharishi Parshuram, considered to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was the most powerful and knowledgeable guru of that era. He had taught weapons to great masters like Bhishma Pitamah, Dronacharya and Karna.
Parashuram ji had incarnated only to destroy the injustice of the Kshatriyas. Since both Kauravas and Pandavas were among his disciples, he himself decided not to participate in this great battle and remained absorbed in penance on Mahendra Mountain.
Rishi Durvasa: The sage who trembles with his anger and curses
Maharishi Durvasa was known for his fierce anger and great power. He had such supernatural and divine powers that he could destroy even the greatest king or god with a single curse.
Both Pandavas and Kauravas had tried from time to time to escape from his wrath. Although Durvasa Muni was an ascetic and sage, he kept himself completely away from this political and destructive war.
Rukmi: King out of battle due to pride
Rukmi was the elder brother of Rukmini, the king of Vidarbha country and wife of Lord Shri Krishna. He also had very dangerous and divine weapons. Rukmi was very proud of her power.
He first went to the Pandavas with an offer of help, but started boasting there. On this Arjun clearly refused to take their cooperation.
After this, when Rukmi went to the Kauravas, Duryodhana rejected him because he was the brother-in-law of Shri Krishna. In this way, due to pride, he was out of the war.
