Jana Nayagan Fails To Beat GOAT, LEO
Despite its impressive debut, Jana Nayagan narrowly missed three major box office milestones. The film failed to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore worldwide opening club, finishing nearly Rs 20 crore short of the mark. It also could not surpass Vijay’s previous Day 1 worldwide record set by The Greatest Of All Time, which opened with Rs 99.39 crore globally. Additionally, with an overseas gross of Rs 30 crore, the film missed out on a place among the top five biggest overseas openings for a Tamil film. The action drama also could not surpass Vijay’s previous Day 1 worldwide record set by The Greatest Of All Time as well.
