New Delhi: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Ambernath in Thane district of Maharashtra. Here, a young man living in a live-in relationship beat his girlfriend’s seven-year-old son so brutally that he died during treatment. Police have arrested the accused and registered a case under several serious sections including murder.
Case opened after child’s health deteriorates
According to the police, when the child’s condition became critical, he was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After finding injury marks on the body, the hospital administration informed the police.
Serious allegations came to light in the investigation
Initial investigation led the police to suspect that the child had been assaulted. Based on interrogation and available evidence, the live-in partner was taken into custody, after which he was arrested.
Awaiting post mortem report
Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Officials say that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report and forensic investigation.
