From powerlifting to boxing… these players race for medals, action will be seen in these events today

Commonwealth Games 2026, DAY 2 Schedule: Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026 has started from 23 July. On the second day of the Games, i.e. on 24th July, Indian players will compete in many important events. Today, Indian athletes will be seen in action in para powerlifting, gymnastics, swimming, lawn balls and boxing, where there will be a golden opportunity to win medals in powerlifting and gymnastics.

Keep an eye on these important events

  • Para Powerlifting: Today India has high hopes of medal from Para Powerlifting. Sudhir, Ashok Kumar Malik, Paramjeet Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Suman Devi and Jhandu Kumar will be in action in men’s and women’s lightweight and heavyweight categories.
  • Lawn Balls: After registering a spectacular win on the first day, the pair of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinky will face South Africa with the intention of maintaining their momentum. At the same time, Putul Sonowal will also present a challenge in men’s singles.
  • Boxing and Swimming: Boxer Jadumani Singh will face Scotland’s Aaron Cullen in the 55 kg category. Apart from this, in swimming, Srihari Nataraj will participate in 50 meter backstroke heats.
