According to Ujjain’s astrologer Pt. Praveen Dwivedi, Ashadh Shukla Ekadashi date will start from 06:59 pm on Saturday, July 5 and will continue till 09:15 pm on Sunday, July 6. According to Udaya Tithi, the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi will be observed on 6th July, Sunday.

Devshayani Ekadashi Vrat-Puja Vidhi
– 5th July, Saturday i.e. a day before Devshayani Ekadashi, eat satvik food and follow the rules of celibacy. On Sunday, July 6, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, take a resolution to fast and worship.
– Follow the rules of fasting throughout the day i.e. do not lie, do not get angry at anyone. Don’t even eat food. If food is required then you can have milk or fruits. Prepare the puja puri.
– Tilak the Lord with kumkum, garland him with flowers and light a lamp of pure ghee. After this, keep offering things like Abir, Gulal, rice, flowers, Roli etc. to God one by one.
– While worshiping, chant the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya. Offer food to God and perform Aarti. Listen to the story of Devshayani Ekadashi. If possible, you can also chant mantras.
– Do not sleep at night, do bhajan-kirtan. Break the fast on Monday, July 7, and then eat food yourself after donating to the needy. Fasting on Devshayani Ekadashi ensures happiness and prosperity in the house.
