Instagram account hacked, X handle suspended and then sudden comeback – the mystery regarding Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has deepened. Founder Abhijeet Dipke claims that Meta recovery also failed. Amidst BJP, Congress and Gen Z politics, CJP’s digital rise has now become the center of national debate.
New Delhi. These days, one name is resonating the fastest among the young generation of the country and in the internet world – ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP). Now, the smell of a big conspiracy is being felt behind this digital movement which has defeated the country’s biggest and oldest political parties on social media within a few days. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has issued a very shocking and public statement claiming that his personal Instagram account has allegedly been hacked and he no longer has any control over his account. As soon as this news came to light, there was a wave of concern among millions of youth and followers who were considering this satirical political movement as the new digital front of the country.
Big shock at midnight: Recovery of ‘Meta’ failed again and again
Abhijeet Dipke has highlighted the seriousness of this entire matter by sharing some screenshots on social media. According to Deepke, he resorted to the official recovery process of Meta and tried repeatedly to get his account back. But every time he faced only failure. Whenever they clicked on the “Recover It Now” option, a mysterious and security-related message would pop up on the screen:
“We’ve locked your Instagram account for your safety. To get your account back, you’ll need to verify your identity and create a new password.”

The suspense has deepened due to the fact that despite following the correct procedure several times, they kept getting the same automated response. The question that arises is whether this is just a simple hacking, or a part of a larger and well-planned digital conspiracy to suppress the voice of this rapidly growing digital movement?
Sometimes X handle suspended, sometimes backup account closed… who is behind the curtain?
This was not the first setback of the week for CJP. Re-sharing his old post on microblogging site However, after immense pressure it was reinstated within a few hours.
Earlier, CJP’s main X handle was also blocked in India. But the group did not give up and made a comeback in the digital world with a new handle named “Cockroach Is Back”. From the new account, he took a dig at his critics and wrote – “Did you think you could get rid of us? Lol (hahaha)”. The party clearly indicates that as soon as CJP started leaving behind the leading political parties of the country on Instagram, rapid digital attacks started on his accounts.
When the country’s biggest political parties proved to be dwarf in front of ‘cockroach’!
This entire controversy becomes more serious when we look at CJP’s astonishing popularity figures. What started as just an internet satire a few days ago has today become India’s fastest growing digital political movement.
CJP’s big rise on Instagram
- 1. Followers in millions within a few days of launching
- 2. Overtook the ruling BJP in the race of social media followers
- 3. Leaving behind the 141 year old Congress party, it became number 1
Gen Z (the young generation), the power of memes, online activism and unemployment in the country, the NEET exam paper leak and the anger among the youth over political accountability brought CJP to power overnight.
“Threat to national security” or “loud voice of youth”?
As the graph of this party is going up, there is panic in the political circles. Supporters of the ruling party have declared the organization a “potential threat to national security.” Some users on social media are even making sensational allegations of this movement being linked to ‘ISI’ and the main opposition parties. On the other hand, many senior opposition leaders, social workers and celebrities of the country have openly supported this movement.
Beginning of CJP and its ideology:
- Founder: Abhijit Dipke (a former Boston-based social media campaigner who worked for AAP in 2020).
- Reason for starting: This anger turned into a movement after Chief Justice of India Surya Kant reportedly compared unemployed youth to “cockroaches and parasites” (although the Chief Justice later clarified that his statement was distorted).
- Slogan: “Secular, Socialist, Democratic, Lazy”
- Main Agenda: Electoral reforms, institutional accountability, reservation for women and strict action against rigging of examinations like NEET.
Amidst the restrictions on accounts, the number of CJP’s followers is increasing every second. Now it remains to be seen whether this internet-based digital protest takes the form of a formal political party in the future, or whether it remains entangled in the maze of tech-giants and power. But one thing is certain – this controversy is not going to stop in the coming days.
