Madhya Pradesh government has approved recruitment to 9,662 posts in MP Police. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the way was cleared for recruitment to many posts including constable, driver, SI and ASI.

Big news has come for the youth preparing for government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Home Department has issued administrative approval for recruitment to 9,662 posts of Madhya Pradesh Police in a single day. This decision was taken just a few days after the review meeting held at the police headquarters recently, in which the Chief Minister had given instructions to quickly fill the vacant posts and speed up the promotion process.

9,662 posts approved in a single day

According to the orders issued by the Home Department, administrative approval has been given for direct recruitment in various categories. These include the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), Sub Inspector (SI), Subedar, Constable (GD) and Constable (Driver).

Maximum 7,500 posts have been sanctioned for constable (GD). Apart from this, the way has also been cleared for recruitment to 1,000 constable drivers, 655 ASI and other class III posts, and 507 sub-inspector and subedar category posts.

Target to fill 18 thousand posts

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has clarified that a total of 18 thousand vacant posts of the police department in the state will be filled in a phased manner. At present, approval for 9,662 posts has been issued, while orders for the remaining posts will also be issued soon.

Recently, the state government had also completed the promotion process of about 25 thousand police officers and employees. The Chief Minister has directed that the next phase should also be started in September for those employees whose promotion is still pending.

Aim to make the ‘best police of the country’

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is not just to recruit but to include Madhya Pradesh Police among the best police forces of the country. He said that after the end of Naxalism in the state, the role of police will be strengthened in law and order as well as development works.

The government believes that the new recruitments will increase the capacity of the police force, provide employment to the youth and provide new strength to the security system of the state. After the start of the recruitment process, a huge opportunity for government jobs will be available to thousands of candidates.
