‘Dhurandhar’ fame actress Ayesha Khan has openly responded to the threats she received on social media after supporting the ongoing student movement against NEET paper leak. Ayesha, who claimed to have been taken into police custody during a protest in Mumbai, shared a screenshot of a direct message on Instagram in which she was told that she would no longer get work in Bollywood. On this, the actress boldly said that she would like to lose her career, but will not compromise with her principles and courage.

After sharing the video related to the performance on Instagram Story, a user sent a direct message to Ayesha Khan, which read, “Now you will not get any work in Bollywood.” Sharing the screenshot, Ayesha bluntly replied, “I would love to lose my career, but not my spine. Scare someone else. Thanks, bye-bye.” This answer of the actress is becoming increasingly viral on social media and many people are praising her outspokenness.

What claim did Ayesha Khan make regarding Mumbai Police custody?
Ayesha Khan shared several videos from the protest site and claimed that she was detained despite standing peacefully on the road. In a video, she is seen asking the policemen where she is being taken, but does not get any answer. In the second video, four female policemen are seen taking him to a police van. Along with this video, Ayesha wrote, “Unfortunately, it took four female policemen to put me in the police van. But I ask the same question again, why? Did I make any noise? Did I start an argument with anyone? What was I detained for? Just for standing on the road? I was not even in a group of five people.”

What did Ayesha Khan say about being taken to Worli Police Station?
Later, Ayesha shared another video and said that she and others were taken to Worli Police Station. She said that she along with her brother and some friends had reached Dadar to support the students protesting against the NEET paper leak. The police said that there was no permission to protest there and detained his male friends including his brother. According to Ayesha, when she was trying to get information about her brother, around 15 policemen asked her to sit in the police van and later she was taken to Worli police station. Despite raising questions on the detention, Ayesha also praised the policemen of Worli Police Station. He said the policemen present there were “very nice and polite”.

The ongoing student movement against NEET paper leak has received support from many artists from the film industry. Many stars including Naseeruddin Shah, Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh and Aditi Rao Hydari have shared posts in support of the students. Prakash Raj, Shabana Azmi and rapper Hanumankind also participated in the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march. Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem and Shalini Pandey were also seen in the protest in Mumbai. The movement that started over the alleged NEET paper leak and irregularities in the examination has now spread to many cities. Students are demanding accountability in the examination system and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Protests are continuing across the country on this issue.
