The helicopter could not fly due to bad weather, yet CM Mohan Yadav reached Alirajpur by road and handed over development works worth Rs 356.89 crore.
Bhopal/Alirajpur. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav once again gave the message that if the resolve is strong then even difficult circumstances cannot stop the path. He was scheduled to go to Alirajpur on July 23 to pay tribute to the immortal martyr Chandrashekhar Azad on his birth anniversary, but due to bad weather the helicopter could not take off. The pilot refused to take off citing poor weather conditions. Despite this the Chief Minister did not cancel his program. He clearly said that no matter how much time it takes, he will reach Alirajpur under any circumstances. After this, after traveling by road for about three hours, he reached Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar and participated in the scheduled program.
Gave a gift of Rs 356.89 crore to farmers by participating in Balram Agricultural Festival
Balram Krishi Mahotsav organized in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar of Alirajpur district was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav by lighting the lamp. During the program he visited the exhibitions of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation and Agricultural Engineering departments. The Chief Minister performed the bhoomi pujan of development works worth Rs 303.34 crore and inaugurated projects worth Rs 53.55 crore in the district. In this way the district got the gift of development projects worth a total of Rs 356.89 crore.
Apart from this he distributed loans worth Rs 2.10 crore to women of self-help groups. Farmers practicing organic farming, meritorious students and social media influencers were honoured. Benefits were also distributed to the beneficiaries of various government schemes and many new announcements were made.
Rapidly changing picture in tribal areas under the leadership of PM Modi
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new picture of development is visible in the tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh. He said that the entire tribal area including Jhabua, Alirajpur, Mandla, Dindori and Balaghat is like a pilgrimage for the state government. He said that despite the bad weather, it is a matter of pride for him to reach Bhabhra and pay tribute to immortal martyr Chandrashekhar Azad. This land gave the country such a great revolutionary who never bowed his head before the British. The Chief Minister also remembered the contributions of many tribal freedom fighters including the brave warrior Jitu Kirar of Alirajpur, Raja Alia Bhil and Kranti Surya Tantya Mama and paid tribute to them.
Thousands of families benefited from Swamitva Yojana, PM Awas and free ration.
The Chief Minister said that after Indore, Dhar, Jhabua and Barwani, now Balram Krishi Mahotsav has been organized in Alirajpur. On this occasion, along with giving benefits of schemes to the farmers, they were also honored. He said that despite less rain, the farmers of the district did not lose courage. Under the ownership scheme, more than 10 thousand people of the district have got the rights of their plots.
So far, more than 90 thousand needy families have been provided permanent houses through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. At the same time, more than 5.70 lakh people are getting free ration. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working for the Ladli Brahmin Yojana and the welfare of the youth. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 1500 is sent to the accounts of eligible women before the 15th of every month.
Government’s special focus on new schemes to increase farmers’ income
The Chief Minister said that for the state government, both the soldier protecting the country on the border and the farmer working hard in the fields are equally worthy of respect. Celebrating the year 2026 as Farmer Welfare Year, many new schemes are being implemented to increase the income of farmers and strengthen farming. He said that farmers across the country are getting the benefits of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. So far, 47,852 farmers of Alirajpur district have been given the benefit of crop insurance scheme. Work is going on at a rapid pace on new projects to expand irrigation facilities. The Dahi-Narmada pipeline project costing about Rs 1100 crore is in the final stages and will be dedicated to the public after Diwali this year.
Government’s emphasis on electricity for dairy, natural farming and daytime irrigation
The Chief Minister said that animal husbandry and dairy sector is also being promoted to increase the income of farmers. Inspired by the Amul model of Gujarat, a new dairy scheme has been started in Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, farmers will be given a grant of up to Rs 10 lakh for starting a dairy with 25 advanced breed cows. He appealed to the farmers to adopt natural farming and said that in future electricity will be provided to the farmers for irrigation even during day time.
Gift of 271 development works, many big announcements including Chandrashekhar Azad Park
The Chief Minister said that a total of 271 development works have been started in the district. Among these, 64 roads to be built at a cost of about Rs 130 crore in Bhabhara development block and Sandipani Vidyalaya to be built at a cost of Rs 22 crore in Kadwania are prominent. After completion of Kondwa Irrigation Project, about 70 thousand farmers will get the benefit of irrigation. Dahi-Narmada pipeline project will be inaugurated after Diwali. He announced that a huge park will be built in Bhabhara in the memory of immortal martyr Chandrashekhar Azad. Rani Kajal Mata Lok will be constructed and residential facilities in girls hostels will be expanded.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s statement on UCC, tribal traditions will be respected
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government has passed the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill. The government views citizens of all religions equally. He clarified that out of respect for the traditions and cultural identity of the tribal society, they have been kept out of the purview of UCC.
