Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually launched the new Bhuj-Delhi Express, establishing direct rail connectivity between Kutch and the national capital. The CM highlighted extensive railway development in the state.

CM Expresses Gratitude for Enhanced Rail Connectivity
CM expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the gift of direct rail connectivity between Kutch and New Delhi, as well as for the recent approval of the Ahmedabad-Dholera Semi High-Speed Rail Project, as per a release from the Gujarat CMO.

He said that Indian Railways is a vital link in the nation’s transportation network and that under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the railways have undergone large-scale transformation over the past twelve years.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project
CM specially referred to the country’s first bullet train project, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail, stating that Gujarat has taken the lead in the modern railway revolution through this landmark initiative. He further added that the largest stretch of the project, spanning 348 kilometres, is being constructed in Gujarat.
Accelerated Development and Increased Budget
Elaborating further, the CM said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the pace of railway network development in Gujarat has become even more dynamic and accelerated. In this context, CM said that since 2014, nearly 2,900 kilometres of new railway tracks have been constructed in the state. Furthermore, various railway projects worth Rs. 1.28 lakh crore are currently underway in Gujarat. He further added that compared to 2014, Gujarat has received 29 per cent higher allocation in this year’s Railway Budget, amounting to Rs. 17,366 crore.
CM further stated that the Prime Minister has gifted Gujarat five Vande Bharat trains, one Amrit Bharat, and one Namo Bharat train, along with providing railway connectivity to Ekta Nagar, enabling passengers to conveniently reach the Statue of Unity, one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.
On this occasion, CM expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Prime Minister and guided by the Union Railway Minister, this Amrit Kaal of Independence will impart new momentum to the railways and contribute significantly towards Viksit Bharat.
On the occasion of the flagging off of the Bhuj-Delhi Express train at Bhuj Railway Station, Minister of State Trikam Chhanga, MP Vinod Chavda, MLAs and office bearers of Kutch district, senior railway officials, and citizens were present.
