After working in the computer sector for years, he said he felt not sad but “liberated” when he was laid off. San Francisco product designer Asha Rawal shared a video on Instagram. In this she told that after losing her job, she realized that she did not like the professional life she was leading. “I’ve been fired from Meta. And to be honest, I’m very happy,” Asha said in the video. She said that after working for years in the corporate world, she felt she could finally breathe again. “I feel free, like I can breathe again,” she said.
Asha, who has worked at Meta for over four years, said she always considered herself more than a corporate employee. “Before tech, corporate titles, and Silicon Valley, I was always an artist. A fashionista. A business owner. A maker,” she said.
