According to Drik Panchang, this year the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month will start on 14th August 2026 at 06.46 pm and will end on 15th August 2026 at 05.28 pm. According to Udaya Tithi, due to the tradition of celebrating the festival, the fast and worship of Hariyali Teej will be observed on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

This year, on the day of Hariyali Teej, the auspicious time of puja will start at 07.29 am and it will last till 09.08 am.

Mythological and spiritual significance of Hariyali Teej

According to mythology, on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan, the penance of Mother Parvati was successful and Lord Shiva accepted her as his wife. Pleased with this dedication and love of Mother Parvati, Lord Shiva adopted her. This is the reason why on this day married women worship Goddess Gauri and ask for the blessing of unbroken good fortune.
