New Delhi: Nowadays, where digitalisation is growing rapidly, most of the services are digital or online, even cars. But with the growth of digitalisation, there is always the risk of data theft from online hackers. Those who hack your server can get access to your personal information, or sometimes they try to attack multi-national companies to get their personal information and misuse that information against the company or the person.
The same thing happens with British Luxury car manufacturing company JLR, Jaguar Land Rover. The company has frozen their car manufacturing due to a cyber attack on 30 August, and while it has not been fixed by the carmaker, they have extended their shutdown for at least next Wednesday, 22 September 2025.
The manufacturer said, We have taken this decision as our forensic investigation of the cyber incident continues, and as we consider the different stages of the controlled restart of our global operations, which will take time. “We are very sorry for the continued disruption this incident is causing, and we will continue to update as the investigation progresses,” they said, according to a report from The Economic Times.
What kind of data was effected
Jaguar Land Rover, which is owned by India’s Tata group, stopped production at its sites after discovering hackers had invaded their systems a few weeks ago. The company found that the attack affected some data, but they did not give details about what kind of information or what data was stolen.
