After opening the reservation from October 1, only Aadhaar Verified users will be able to book tickets for the first 15 minutes. This means that passengers whose account is link and verified to Aadhaar will get priority in booking. This step will provide relief to the common passengers as in most cases, in the initial minutes, there was a black marketing of tickets through agents or technical means, so that the common passengers could not book tickets, or booked tickets from the agent at expensive prices.

The rule will apply to which booking?
At present, this rule will apply only to Tatkal ticket booking. That is, when Tatkal ticket reservation opens, only Aadhaar Verified users will be able to book tickets for the first 15 minutes. After this, booking facility will open for other users.
