A 26-year-old makeup artist committed suicide by hanging herself in Etawah. In the video made before his death, he has accused 4 former colleagues of mental torture. Police have registered the case and started investigating the video.
Etawah (Uttar Pradesh) [भारत]July 22 (ANI): A 26-year-old makeup artist committed suicide at her rented accommodation in Vrindavan Colony under Civil Lines police station area of Etawah, officials said. It is alleged that she was suffering from long-term mental harassment by four former colleagues.
The deceased has been identified as Komal Mishra. Before taking this dreadful step late on Monday night, he recorded one last video on his mobile phone. In the video she named two women and two men and held them directly responsible for her death, while acquitting her husband of any involvement.
Video made before death, allegations against 4 people
According to Komal’s husband Saurabh Dwivedi, Mishra used to work as event management and beautician with four people from Kanpur. Dwivedi alleged that the group was mentally harassing Komal over some unresolved matters before their marriage.
In her video recording, Mishra clearly said that her husband is innocent and urged the authorities to take strict legal action against the four named persons.
When Dwivedi, posted as a clerk in Badhpura block of Etawah, returned home, he found his wife hanging. With the help of neighbors he was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police started investigating the case
Civil Lines police have seized Mishra’s mobile phone and digital evidence from the spot. Circle Officer (Sadar) Avnish Kumar Singh confirmed that Panchnama and post-mortem proceedings have been completed.
An official case is being registered based on the husband’s formal complaint (Tahrir), and the police are verifying the authenticity of the video recording to initiate further legal action.
Area Officer (CO), Sadar, Avnish Kumar Singh said, “On the night of July 20, Civil Lines police station received information that a woman had committed suicide. Subsequently, the police took possession of the body and started the process of Panchnama and post-mortem. A video has been brought to our notice by the husband of the deceased, in which the woman has alleged harassment by some persons before her death. Based on the husband’s complaint, a case will be registered and further legal action will be taken. Has accused some people of harassment in the video. The video is currently being investigated, after which appropriate legal action will be taken.”
On receiving information, Civil Lines Police inspected the spot and seized the mobile phone and other evidence of the deceased. Police are investigating the authenticity of the video, the allegations made in it and other circumstances. (ANI)
