Police registered a case against accused
Rajendra Nagar Police has registered a case against a person on Saturday night for doing unnatural acts with a female dog in Choithram Mandi area. The video of the incident came to light after it went viral on social media. Rajendra Nagar police station in -charge Neeraj Birathare said that further investigation has been started against the accused by registering a case under Section 11 of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Act.
September 5 incident, now case has been registered
According to the police, the representative of a local institution working for the welfare of stray dogs lodged a complaint after watching the video. Priyanshu Jain of People for Animals said in his complaint that a video was shared on his mobile phone on 13 September, which came out at around 7 pm on 5 September CCTV footage near Gate No. 2 of Choithram Mandi. In the video, an unknown person is allegedly seen doing unnatural acts with the dog. With the help of local sources, the person was later identified as Mithun, a laborer working in the market.
