This incident happened on the second ball of the 10th over of Kolkata Knight Riders’ innings, when Mumbai Indians missed an easy opportunity to get the wicket.

Actually, Hardik Pandya bowled the 10th over during the innings of Kolkata Knight Riders. On the second ball of this over, Rovman Powell tried to play a pull shot, but the ball hit the upper part of the bat and went very high in the air. It seemed that it would be an easy catch, but there was a tremendous misunderstanding between the two fielders on the field, due to which Rovman Powell got a life.
Players kept looking at each other, missed catch
When the ball was in the air, Deepak Chahar came running towards the ball from fine leg, while Robin Minz also came quickly to take the catch from deep backward square leg. Both players got under the ball, but neither could make a clean call at the last moment. Both the players kept looking at each other for a few seconds and the batsman got the benefit of this confusion. The ball fell safely on the ground between the two. The replay clearly showed that this catch was of Deepak Chahar, but due to lack of coordination at the last moment, Mumbai Indians had to suffer a big loss.
After this misfield, fans on social media also raised questions on Mumbai’s fielding. Many people called it one of the worst fielding mistakes of the season.
