This time the heat has broken all records in Delhi-NCR. The temperature is reaching 43 to 46 degrees. Amidst the increasing population, vehicle pressure, pollution and decreasing trees and plants, cool air has now become the biggest need of the people. This is the reason why the demand for AC, cooler, inverter, battery and solar panel is increasing rapidly in the market. Due to the scorching heat, there is a huge surge in the sales of ACs and coolers in the electronic markets of Delhi.

According to shopkeepers, compared to last year, this time the price of one and a half tonne AC has increased by about Rs 3 to 5 thousand. Due to the way heat has increased in Delhi, vehicles have increased, pollution has increased and trees and plants have decreased, the temperature is continuously increasing. When people have to live in 43 degree temperature, it is natural for the demand for AC to increase. Compared to last year, this year the price of one and a half ton AC has increased by Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. Not every customer is able to buy AC, hence there is a lot of demand for coolers also. People are buying coolers worth Rs 10 to 15 thousand more.

Sudhir Kumar, an AC showroom manager from Delhi, said that there are two types of varieties in AC, window and split. There is also an option of inverter and non-inverter AC, inverter ACs are being sold more because they consume less electricity and the bills are also less.

Demand increased due to power cut

Sachi Tarun Bhatia of Bhagirath Place Association told TV 9 that a mixed story has come to light among the shopkeepers with inverter batteries when there is power failure in Delhi. Shopkeepers say that power cuts in Delhi have increased in some areas compared to before. Due to continuously increasing load and heat, electricity consumption is also reaching record levels. Its effect is clearly visible on the sales of inverters and batteries.

He said, “Earlier the lights did not go off at all, even now they do not go off in most of the places. But when the temperature reaches 45-46 degrees, the electricity consumption increases a lot. Sometimes the wires get cut due to overheating or fault. These days, the sale of inverter batteries has decreased a bit, but the demand for solar panels has increased a lot. Due to more sunlight, solar panels are working better and people are going towards solar to reduce electricity bills. With increasing heat, the demand for electricity is also continuously increasing. In such a situation, many people are now relying on inverters, batteries and solar systems for backup.

People are buying inverters in Delhi also

Inverter battery seller Bhola Ram said that the more the heat is increasing, the more the demand for inverters and batteries is increasing. It is natural to have power cuts due to increase in electricity consumption. No matter which government we talk to, the electricity load increases a lot during summer. Earlier, customers from outside Delhi used to buy more inverters, but now people of Delhi are also buying more. Because at many places there are power cuts for 2-5 hours.

He further said that the demand for solar panels, batteries and inverters is highest, because with this people can run the lights of their house and many electronic appliances and the electricity bill also reduces.
